At the Helm
Matt Vallone, President
Matt Vallone is President of NFI, where he manages the development, marketing and production of data analytics and solutions. He is a recognized authority on the U.S. defense budget process, having been published in a variety of channels. Prior to working at NFI, he was Director of Forecasting & Budgets at Janes where he led a global team of defense and space-focused analysts in producing research products and data analysis. From 2014-2020 he managed the build-out and expansion of the Global Platforms & Systems (GPS) defense forecasting tool. Prior to his time in the private sector he worked in the U.S. House and Senate, including serving as the Legislative Director for Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter in 2013.
Matt graduated from Saint Anselm college with a BA in politics and he holds an MBA from the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and an MA in Security Policy Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University.
